As interest in Kaunas "Žalgiris" grows, so does the number of those wishing to dress in green and white. From now on, it will be easier for fans in the capital to do so – a new concept "Zalgirisshop.lt" store is opening, where not only team merchandise but also coffee will be sold.

The new store is located in a strategically convenient location – only the King Mindaugas Bridge separates the street from the city center, making the "Žalgiris" merchandise store easily accessible to both Vilnius residents supporting the team and tourists visiting the capital.

According to Mindaugas Narijauskas, head of "Zalgirisshop.lt", several reasons prompted this step. Perhaps the main one is the growing interest in the team in the capital.

"In recent years, about a quarter of all orders placed in the online store have gone to the Vilnius region. We hope that the new store will ensure even faster and more convenient shopping for residents of the capital," says M. Narijauskas.

Indeed, the expansion was also prompted by requests from the fans themselves – there were many discussions on social networks about the necessity of a store in Vilnius. It was also desired to bring merchandise closer to foreign fans. Kaunas "Žalgiris" is the only Baltic team playing in the Euroleague, so there is no shortage of interest in the team from abroad, and most tourists often choose the capital for their visit.

The completely new store concept is also surprising – here you can not only purchase Kaunas "Žalgiris" merchandise, but very soon you will also be able to enjoy a "Žalgiris" coffee cup. Part of the new store is a cafe area where you can sit down and discuss past games.

The store located on Rinktinės Street stands out for its design. Architect Sigita Kundrotaitė-Savickė, who designed the fourth "Zalgirisshop.lt" store, exchanged the usual green metal furniture for cozier wood, and the greenery is ensured not only by the color of the merchandise but also by exotic plants.

"Since this is not just a store, but also a cafe, the additional function obliged us to create a cozy and bright environment, smelling of wood. The furniture in the interior is made according to an individual project, the chosen material is birch plywood, aiming to create a consistent style, both in terms of material, form, and color. The forms of the furniture are laconic, but the wood texture does not allow them to become formal," says the architect who created the interior.

The range of merchandise is no different from the assortment of stores in Kaunas – you can find everything from popular t-shirts and hoodies to additional accessories – bean bags, books. Also, very soon, personalized merchandise orders will be accepted, and convenient e-commerce solutions will be implemented – items purchased in the online store can be picked up for free in Vilnius.

Everyone who wants to visit the "Žalgiris" merchandise store located at Rinktinės St. 16 can do so on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM and on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
