Kauno "Žalgiris" enters the 2021-2022 basketball season not only with a renewed team roster but also with new partners. This summer, "Žalgiris" and the merchandise store Žalgirisshop.lt began cooperation with the Greek sportswear manufacturer GSA. The agreement has been signed for three years.

For more than a decade, the GSA brand has been offering apparel and various other attributes created for both professional athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Combining innovative apparel industry technologies and sustainability principles, GSA will dress "Žalgiris" basketball players and coaches from head to toe this season – providing all necessary uniforms and protection for all matches and training sessions. "Žalgiris" players will not be forgotten off the court either – raincoats and jackets will protect them from bad weather during travels, and their belongings will be stored in backpacks and suitcases.

"GSA is a company rapidly strengthening its position in Europe due to its quality and approach, already having experience in dressing top-level basketball clubs and national teams. The apparel must be comfortable and raise no questions for the players, and GSA can ensure that. We hope that the new apparel and merchandise will soon be loved by the team's fans as well," said Paulius Motiejūnas, director of "Žalgiris."

The Greek national basketball team competed in major basketball tournaments wearing GSA-designed apparel, and in the EuroLeague, Olympiacos Piraeus can be seen in GSA jerseys.

By bringing "Žalgiris" into our fold, we have the opportunity to provide our services and products to some of the best basketball players in Europe, both on and off the court," said company founder and CEO Gerry F. Papaspyratos, adding that next season, "Žalgiris" players will receive updated, GSA-designed apparel.

This collaboration also brings good news to the team's fans, as the first products – training jerseys, as well as casual t-shirts and shorts – will be available for purchase soon in the online store Žalgirisshop.lt and physical stores.

"We are always looking for new products to expand our store assortment. We are delighted to be able to offer not only new design jerseys and hoodies but also a wider range of casual shorts, pants, and other items needed for sports and leisure," said Mindaugas Narijauskas, head of Žalgirisshop.lt.

One of GSA's priorities is a green philosophy, which minimizes harm to the environment. GSA products use cotton, bamboo, and other recycled fibers.
